What happens when a client laws? What happens when a client lies, nothing good. A lawyer cannot do his job effectively, additionally, or in any other way that might assist the client in obtaining a desired result. when the client lives in a fantasy world. What I mean by this is the client only reveals information he or she thinks might be helpful to the cause and conveniently leaves out information that all although highly relevant and important to the matter at hand is perceived as “bad” for the case. It is an error in judgment on the part of the client to leave out such information as in doing so you she will be hurting any chance of compensation, recovery, or satisfaction. Example: lawyer sitting in a deposition, deposing a critical witness for the defense, discovers that his client use the word always like candy is given out at Halloween without any thought to the application of the theory by the lawyer to the case smf it turns out that always really meant once a year. Moral of the story, a lawyer can work with the truth, whatever the truth may be, however it may appear that the truth is harmful to the cause, but a lawyer cannot work with a lie. All that can be done with a lie is more lying.
